RESIDUOPHOS

Residuophos è un lavoro dedicato interamente alla fisicità della materia nelle sue trasformazioni dettate sia dai segni del tempo come le corrosioni naturali che dai segni incisi dalla mia mano.

Su lastre di alluminio, recuperate in ambienti esterni, intervengo con l’incisione per creare una continuità visiva e immaginifica su quello che il mio cervello interpreta nell’osservare le incrostazioni e le macchie evanescenti  lasciate dagli agenti atmosferici nei corsi degli anni.

Il segno lasciato dall’incisione, che per il processo ossidativo dell’alluminio, si riempie di luce bianca ogni volta che ci troviamo sulla sua traiettoria riflettente.

L’immagine integrata avrà quindi un effetto di presenza-assenza a seconda del nostro punto di vista, come d’altronde lo è anche ciò che ognuno di noi vuole vedere nelle macchie residuali della superficie, più in generale nelle infinite manifestazioni della natura.

Residuophos is a work dedicated entirely to the physicality of matter in its transformations dictated both by the signs of time such as natural corrosion and by the signs engraved by my hand.

On aluminum plates, recovered in outdoor environments, I create by engraving  a visual and imaginative continuity on what my brain interprets in observing the scales and evanescent stains left by atmospheric agents over the years.

Engraving, as nature itself does, leaves a mark which, due to the oxidative process of aluminum, fills with white light every time we are on its reflecting path.

The integrated image will therefore have a presence-absence effect according to our point of view, as indeed is also what each of us wants to see in the residual stains of the surface, more generally in the infinite manifestations of nature.
